What is Processional?
The processional is the ceremonial walk down the aisle at the beginning of a wedding ceremony.
The processional is the formal entrance of the wedding party and couple at the start of the ceremony. Traditionally, guests are seated, the groom enters with the officiant (or with his parents), followed by the wedding party walking down the aisle, then the flower girl and ring bearer, and finally the bride (traditionally escorted by her father). Modern processionals are customized - some couples walk in together, others include both parents, and the order can be modified. Music accompanies the processional, often changing when the bride enters. The processional sets the tone and marks the official start of the ceremony.
