What is Day-Of Coordinator?

A day-of coordinator (DOC) is a professional who takes over event management on the day of (and typically the week leading up to) an event. Unlike full-service planners who handle planning from the start, DOCs step in after you've done the planning yourself. They review vendor contracts, create or refine the timeline, conduct rehearsals, manage setup and vendor arrivals, cue events throughout the day, handle problems that arise, and ensure everything runs smoothly. Day-of coordination allows couples to enjoy their wedding without managing logistics, at a lower cost than full planning services.
