What is Bridesmaid?

Bridesmaids are female members of the wedding party who support the bride throughout the wedding process. Their responsibilities include attending pre-wedding events (shower, bachelorette), helping with wedding tasks, purchasing the required dress and accessories, attending fittings and rehearsal, and standing with the bride during the ceremony. Bridesmaids often walk down the aisle before the bride, may be paired with groomsmen for the processional and recessional, and participate in photos. The number of bridesmaids varies by wedding size and couple preference. Being asked to be a bridesmaid is an honor that comes with financial and time commitments.
