What is Bridal Shower?

A bridal shower is a gift-giving party held for a bride-to-be before her wedding. Traditionally hosted by the maid of honor, bridesmaids, or close friends and family, bridal showers are typically held 2-6 weeks before the wedding. The event usually includes games, activities, food, and the opening of gifts from guests. Modern bridal showers can take many forms, from traditional afternoon tea parties to spa days, cooking classes, or themed celebrations. Some couples opt for co-ed showers or "couple showers" that include both the bride and groom and guests of all genders.
