What is Elopement?

An elopement is a wedding that takes place without the traditional guest list, often involving just the couple, an officiant, and perhaps a few witnesses. Modern elopements can range from truly spontaneous courthouse weddings to carefully planned intimate ceremonies in beautiful locations. Couples choose to elope for various reasons: privacy, simplicity, budget considerations, or the desire for an intimate experience.
